Fable Food Co’s Plant-Based Braised Beef, first featured on the menus of chef Heston Blumenthal’s Michelin Star restaurants, is now available in over 600 Woolworths stores across the country.
Based on shiitake mushrooms, which comprise 62 percent of the product, the plant-based meat has been developed to mimic the taste and texture of braised beef.
Fable Food Co’s mushroom-based products have been developed with the combined expertise of the company’s founders, including former fine dining chef and mycologist, Jim Fuller; organic mushroom farmer, Chris McLoghlin; and Queensland-based entrepreneur, Michael Fox.
