Israeli cultivated meat company Aleph Farms has committed to eliminate emissions associated with its meat production by 2025 and reach an entirely emissions-free supply chain by 2030.
Against the backdrop of COVID-19, the company says its new strategy has consolidated its approach for food system resilience, which is “at the core of Aleph Farm’s vision”. The new strategy enables Aleph Farms to survive local and global supply chain disruptions that jeopardise food security, while also promoting natural ecosystem preservation and reducing friction points with wild animals to prevent future zoonotic pandemics.
