Food Frontier has made a submission as part of Food Standards Australia New Zealand, FSANZ, first round of public consultation for Vow’s cultured quail. A second call for comment will follow. Earlier this year, Vow Food applied to FSANZ to evaluate its cultured quail as a food ingredient.
After months of safety investigations, the standards setter has concluded that it is safe to eat. FSANZ shared its findings as part of the public consultation process, giving the public its landmark opportunity to provide feedback about the cultured quail product as a first example in Australia and New Zealand of cultivated meat production.
