Hamish Toohey

Administration and Project Coordinator

Through his people-first approach and operational expertise, Hamish empowers the Food Frontier team to collaborate effectively and work toward achieving shared goals. Before joining Food Frontier, Hamish led Kua, a social enterprise focused on sourcing and consuming coffee in ways that addressed the intersectional challenges presented by climate change. As Co-Founder and Head of Operations, he managed the entire supply chain – from building relationships in Uganda to overseeing importing, roasting, distribution and partnerships. In 2023, he handed Kua over to a new team in Sydney and relocated to Melbourne. With a deep passion for agriculture and sustainable food systems, supporting Food Frontier’s critical work was a natural fit. Hamish’s experience spans non-profits, international development, retail and hospitality, particularly within small, fast-paced teams dedicated to purpose-driven work.
