[UPDATE: Due to COVID, our conference is now AltProteins 22, to be held 16 February 2022]
Tickets are now on sale for AltProteins 22 – Australia & New Zealand’s inaugural alternative proteins conference. Hosted by Food Frontier, AltProteins 22 will unite food producers, agricultural leaders, retailers, innovators, investors, policymakers and academics alike, to explore how Australia and New Zealand can realise our economic potential in alternative proteins.
Food Frontier CEO Thomas King explained that the conference will cover important conversations and topics in the world of alternative proteins, delving into the specifics of the Australia New Zealand ecosystem, as well as the opportunity to learn from global market leaders.
“For the first time, those already participating or interested in the alternative proteins sector across Australia and New Zealand will have a dedicated space to share insights and ideas on the agricultural opportunity for plant proteins, perception and awareness challenges amongst consumers, catering to export markets, business strategy, investment, and much more,” he said.
“Food Frontier is thrilled to deliver the region’s inaugural alternative proteins conference to catalyse the conversations and connections that can supercharge the growth of plant-based meat and cellular agriculture.”
The first round of speakers has been announced, with the full program to be launched in the coming weeks on the conference website.
“We’re excited to be joined by leading plant-based meat manufacturers, visionary cellular agriculture entrepreneurs and experts such as Michelle Colgrave, CSIRO; Justin Lemmens, Sustainable Foods (NZ); Tony Green, Australian Foodservice Advocacy Body, as we explore the latest and highest-impact ideas and developments in the space,” said King.
“We are particularly thankful for the support from our launch sponsors – the Victorian Government Department of Jobs, Precincts and Regions, Firmenich, ProForm and Rogue Foods – which are all a part of strengthening and growing the alternative proteins sector in our region.”
Food Frontier is optimistic about the opportunity to bring attendees together in-person for the conference, yet given the challenges COVID-19 can bring, has prepared a flexible registration and refunds policy. Should the event be unable to go ahead due to government restrictions, Food Frontier will reschedule to a later date and provide attendees the option to transfer their ticket or request a refund. Registrants who are otherwise unable to attend the event due to government restrictions outside of Victoria will also be issued refunds.
Early bird tickets will be available until 31 August and capacity at the conference will be limited to comply with CovidSafe standards.
